Spring 2024 Color Trends

Don’t have time to scour the internet to catch up on the latest color trends for spring? I’ve got you covered! In this month's blog I'll show you the Pantone Color Institute’s trend colors for Spring 2024 from New York Fashion Week. Then we'll go over which shades work for each color code.


According to Pantone® Color Institute experts, colors for NYFW Spring 2024 are infused with a hint of nostalgia yet at the same time speak to transformation as we embrace a more positive way of living.

Let's start with the 2024 Color of the Year Peach Fuzz. On Pantone's website Peach Fuzz is described as "a velvety gentle peach whose all-embracing spirit enriches heart, mind, and body." And it was chosen "at a time of turmoil in many aspects of our lives, our need for nurturing, empathy and compassion grows ever stronger as does our imaginings of a more peaceful future."


Next up are the neutral trends. Pantone describes them as "Reliable core tones infused with a contemporary edge create new visions of tradition."



  • Quiet Shade, a shadowy gray that offers a protective shelter | COOL, DEEP, LIGHT, SOFT

  • A rainy day gray, Northern Droplet promises a quiet respite | COOL, LIGHT, SOFT

  • Mushroom, an earth rendered taupe composed in temperature and tone | LIGHT, SOFT

  • A utilitarian khaki hue, Brush provides a natural blend to its surroundings | DEEP, SOFT, WARM

  • Clean, crisp, and pristine Brilliant White is suggestive of simplicity and modernity | CLEAR, COOL, LIGHT


 

Next, let's look at the trend colors. Pantone says the palette is "a range of lively color inspire personalized self-expression and feelings of freedom."



Vibrant Capri is a bright blue hue reminiscent of the azure colored waters of the blue grotto | CLEAR, COOL, DEEP, LIGHT, SOFT, WARM

Sugar coated Lemon Drop is filled with zest | DEEP, LIGHT, SOFT, WARM

Watercress, a refreshing peppery green with a sprightly presence | DEEP, SOFT, WARM

Desert Flower is a warm and engaging pink whose blooms thrive under the sun | LIGHT, SOFT

Mint, a cooling mentholated green that is a breath of fresh air | CLEAR, LIGHT

Chambray Blue, a brightened denim blue infused with an easy vitality | COOL, LIGHT, SOFT

Marlin, an aquatic blue native to tropical and temperate waters | COOL, DEEP, LIGHT, SOFT, WARM

A sweet and mildly tangy red-orange hue, Orangeade has a fruity citrus touch | DEEP, WARM A soft and powdery lavender hue, Pastel Lilac is suggestive of a sweet aroma | COOL, LIGHT, SOFT

Rooibos Tea, a full bodied red imbued with rich, woody note | DEEP, WARM
